AA Restaurant Guide 2010

We are delighted to announce Cantina has been awarded a rosette in the 2010 AA Restaurant Guide.

Brian Fantoni: Master of Culinary Arts Finalist 2009

Brian Fantoni, Head Chef of Cantina del Ponte, proved his culinary worth, successfully completing the Master of Culinary Arts semi-finals to make it through to the finals this month, where he will battle alongside 21 other leading, talented chefs.

The Master of Culinary Arts is the ultimate recognition and celebrates outstanding culinary craftsmanship that has developed in the UK in cooking, pastry and food & wine service. The MCA was launched in 1987 and finals are held every four years.

For the semi-finals alone, each chef had to complete a gruelling five and a half hour test where they were asked to create a three-course meal. The chefs already know that for the final they will again be put through their paces which will test their ability to produce dishes of excellence using their skill, imagination and flair.
